Super Eagles’ full-back, Ola Aina continued his impressive start to life in Italy, following up last week’s man of the match performance to grab an assist for Torino when they dispatched Sampdoria 4-1 away, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 22-year-old was starting his seventh league outing of the season in his more accustomed wing-back as a first-half brace from Andrea Bellotti set the boys from Turin on the driving seat.
Aina then helped set up Iago Falque for the third goal after the break to make it 3-0 before the hosts reduced the deficit five minutes later when Fabio Quaglairella rebounded in from his penalty to make it 3-1.
The visitors did, however, restore their three-goal lead 12 minutes to stoppage time when Bellotti completed a perfect afternoon by setting up Armando Izzo to seal the victory.
Aina was on for the entire 90 minutes, earning a match rating of 6.9, completing 76% of his passes, making 3 key passes, winning 7 of his duels contested and making 3 interceptions.
