Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu, continued his fine form in the Danish League, scoring his 8th league goal of the season in FC Midtjylland’s 2-2 draw away at Esbjerg FB, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 24-year-old started in the heart of his side’s attack alongside another Nigerian Rilwan Hassan as both teams failed to find the net in the first 45 minutes of the encounter.
The second half was, however, a different affair with Esbjerg drawing first blood with less than 60 seconds into the half through Jacob Sorenson, but their joy was shortlived as Alexander Scholz equalized for the visitors four minutes later.
Nigeria’s Onuachu then made it 2-1 six minutes after the hour mark, after being set up by Awer Mabil before Adrian Petre equalized deep into stoppage time with the game ending 2-2.
The goals now mean Onuachu is just two from equaling his tally of 10 league goals last season whilst he also sits 4th on the top scorers’ chart, two goals behind leader Kamil Wilczek who has scored 10 goals so far.
