Nigerian forward, Chisom Egbuchulam has revealed he is open to the chance of playing for the Super Eagles because he has done enough this season to earn an invite, reports.
Egbuchulam who is no doubt one of Nigeria’s hottest scoring strikers in Europe after his 14 goals helped Falkenbergs gain promotion to the elite league in Sweden, told exclusively from his base that only the coach can decide on his invitation.
“I think right now it’s the coach that decides, but I have done very well this year with my team, so getting a call-up won’t surprise to me,” Egbuchulam said.
The former Enugu Rangers player further expressed his delight after helping his club gain promotion, positing that he has now proven himself as a quality striker in Europe.
“Well, I’m excited and I thank God as well. It wasn’t an easy task to achieve but with had work and commitment I did my part. So I’m very happy. Of course this is European football and I have proven myself as a striker,” Egbuchulam concluded.
With just one match to the end of the season, the Nigerian forward will be hoping to clinch the golden boot as he currently seats joint top scorer with 14 goals from 22 starts.
