Two- time African champions, Enyimba of Aba have announced the termination of former Captain Mfon Udoh’s five-year contract after both parties agreed to mutually part ways, reports.
Both parties had been in disagreement over the player’s future in the last couple of months with Enyimba suspending the him for gross misconduct.
However, in a letter dated 7th November which copied both the Nigeria Football Federation and  the League Management Company l, the club stated that the player was now free to join any club of his choice.
“It is mutually agreed that the above player of the club be released to play for any club of his choice.
“Both parties are absolved of all financial encumbrances and obligations. The Nigerian Football Federation and the League Management Company are both by a copy of this letter duly notified,” a club statement signed by its chairman read:
Udoh , 26, set an all-time NPFL record of 23 goals in a single season in 2014 and was also top scorer during the 2016 CAF Champions League with 9 goals.
