Villarreal of Spain forward, Samuel Chukwueze was the star of the Eagles’ final training session after the former U-17 World Cup winning star scored a hat-trick in training on Monday night, reports.
With all 21 players present in Monday’s training, the team were shared into two with Akpeyi and Afelokia in between the sticks for both.
Team A had Akpeyi in goal with Ekong and Ajayi partnering in defence whilst Chukwueze and Musa flanked for the team. Team B had Afelokia in goal whilst John Ogu partnered Adeleye in defence with Onyekuru and Success leading the line.
However, it was Team A which had the initiative with Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze scoring three goals in training with Victor Osimhen also scoring twice with team a to win 5-1.
Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was, however, the star attraction after netting a screamer of a shot for Team B, placing the ball well in the top corner to beat Akpeyi, much to the appreciation of the fans present in the stadium.
The team did, however, round up the session with a bit of losing with Rohr confirming he will ring in the changes ahead of the clash.
