Super Eagles stand-in Captain, Ahmed Musa defied jetlag to put up a man of the match performance for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, scoring the only goal in their 1-0 win over Al-Shaba on Friday evening, AOIFootball.com reports.
Having been named Nigeria’s best player of the year, the former Leicester City forward continued his impressive start to life in Asia as he netted his fifth goal in just eight matches this season.
It took the speed demon just 35 minutes to put his side 1-0 up after he was put through on goal by strike partner Giuliano.
The second half did, however, fail to yield any goal with both teams reduced to 10 men but it was Al-Nassr who held on to all three points.
The goal now means Musa has had a hand in 8 goals since his move from Leicester in the summer (5 goals, 3 assists) despite just featuring in 8 of his side’s 10 games this season.
The win solidifies Al-Nassr’s grip on the second position with 25 points from 10 games, two behind leaders Al-Hilal which have played a game less.
