Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu continued his impressive form in front of goal, scoring his 10th goal of the season for Midtjylland in their 2-1 loss away to København on Sunday, reports.

Both sides went into the clash level on points with Midtjylland topping just on goal difference but it was the home side that took the lead four minutes after the half-hour mark when Robert Skov conveyed from 12 yards to hand København the initiative going into the break.

In a bid to get back into the tie, Midtjylland introduced Nigerian duo of Frank Onyeka and Rilwan Hassan, but it was another Nigerian Paul Onuachu who equalized for the Red and Whites when he converted from a Jake Poulsen pass after 78 minutes to bring scores to 1-1.

With both teams almost contented to settle for a draw, Jan Gorges had other ideas as he scored eight minutes from time to hand København all three points, much to the frustration of the visiting team.

The goal was a landmark achievement for Nigeria’s Onuachu who equaled his tally for goals scored last season despite just playing 14 games this season.

The youngster now sits joint second on the scorer’s chart alongside Dame N’Doye with 10 goals whilst Kamil Wilczek leads with 12 goals.
