Nigerian forward, Peter Oladeji Olayinka came off the bench to score his second league goal and Slavia Praha’s third in a 3-1 win away at MFK OKD Karvinà, reports.
The away side raced into the lead after11 minutes when Toma’s Souçek put them ahead before an own goal from Jan Boril leveled matters after 31 minutes.
Slavia did, however, re-take the lead two minutes later when Miroslav Stoch made it 2-1, a lead they held going into the halftime break.
With both sides failing to find any openings in the second half, Olayinka was introduced after 73 minutes for Milan Skoda before the Nigerian grabbed his side’s third two minutes later much to the admiration of his manager.
The win solidifies Slavia Praha’s hold on first position with 40 points after 16 games, four ahead of second-placed Viktoria Plzen which have 36 points from the same number of matches.
