The Villarreal star however told exclusively ahead of the match that he hopes to keep up his impressive scoring form in the league and help Villarreal to back to back wins for the first time this season.

“We know it won’t be an easy tie because Barcelona have not won in the league for the past two matches but we are confident we can play our own game and beat them to theirs,” Chukwueze said.
When asked how he prepares for big LaLiga matches, the former Golden Eaglet’s star revealed he always gets the backing of the coaches and senior players whilst he always watches video’s of Arjen Robben to prepare for every game.
“The coaches here have given me the motivation and confidence to express myself and Santi Carzola is like a mentor to me here also, I’m happy to be playing alongside him, because he always encourages me and always tells me to be strong.
“Many people say I play like Arjen Robben and I like it because before every game I watch his videos and make sure I learn on or two things from him before going into the game proper,” Chukwueze concluded.
