Super Eagles’ midfielder, Mikel Agu continued his fine form for Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal when they claimed their second victory on the road in a 1-0 win over Maritimo, reports.
The on-loan Porto player, who has just lost once this season with Setubal, started his sixth consecutive match but both teams failed to carve any meaningful opening in the first half as they went into the break goalless.
However, Setubal turned on the heat in the second half and after a plethora of substitutions by both teams, striker Frederic Mendy scored the decisive winner for the visitors when he converted from a Jhonder Cadiz pass to hand the away side all three points.
As expected Agu was one of the stand out players in the match with a game rating of 7.0, completing 76% of his passes, winning a game-high 8 duels and also winning 100% of his tackles.
The win moves Setubal to sixth on the table with 17 points from 11 matches.
