Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr has praised Samuel Kalu for what he described as a game-changing performance to help Bordeaux to a 2-2 draw over runaway leaders PSG on Sunday in the French League 1, reports.
The Franco-German watched from the stands and admitted afterward to that he was impressed with the player’s attitude when he came into the match with his side 2-1 down.
Kalu was introduced in the 69th minute for Jaroslav Plasil and was heavily involved in the buildup to the equalizing goal after another substitute Andreas Cornelius rose highest to head home six minutes from time.
This was the second time Rohr was present at the stadium to monitor Kalu in four days and he also admitted he was impressed in the young forward’s display last Thursday against Sparta Praha.
Kalu has been a revelation for Nigeria since making his debut against Seychelles and was the main architect to the decisive goal that earned Nigeria a place in next year’s African Cup of Nations.
