Nigerian forward, Blessing Chibuike Eleke scored twice to help his Swiss side earn a vital 3-2 win away at Grasshopper Club Zürich, reports.
The former FC Ashdod of Israel forward wasted no time in stamping his authority in the match when he opened scoring for the visitors with just two minutes on the clock.
Nadim Bajrami then equalized for the hosts nine minutes later before Lazar Cirkovic put the away side in front again after 18 minutes.
With the first half whistle approaching Julien Ngoy equalized for the second time for Grasshopper to bring the first half to an entertaining end with both sides going into the break level on 2-2.
With both sides pressing for a win, Nigeria’s Eleke earned the bragging rights and the man of the match award when he finished off a Pascal Schurft pass to hand the away side all three points.
The goal was the 22-year-old’s 7th of the season whilst the win takes Luzern to 6th on the table with 22 points from 17 games.
