Super Eagles’ midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi continued from where he left off last week, contributing in Trabzonspor’s 2-2 draw away at Besiktas, with striker Anthony Nwakaeme scoring a fantastic goal, AOIFootball.com reports.
After last week’s impressive display against Konyaspor, the midfielder continued his lone man job in the middle of the park whilst Nwakaeme started on the right-hand side of attack for Trabzonspor who went into the break one goal up, courtesy of Hugo Rodallega’s 45th-minute strike.
The away side soon doubled their lead two minutes after the restart when Onazi disposed a Besiktas midfielder of the ball before going on a solo run which was halted and Onazi then squared the ball for Nwakaeme who hit a bullet of a shot from 30 yards to put his side 2-0 up.
Onazi then put through his own goal ten minutes later to hand Besiktas a lifeline before a last-minute strike from Mustafa Paktemek, six minutes into added time denied Trabzonspor all three points.
Onazi was on for the entire match whilst Nwakaeme was withdrawn after 74 minutes. Onazi earned a game rating of 7.0, completed 78% of his passes, won 9 duels and also completed 100% of his tackles.
