The Super Falcons of Nigeria have been drawn in Group C of the famous Cyprus Women’s World Cup taking place next year across three cities, AOIFootball.com reports.
Making their debut at the tournament, African champions Nigeria will compete for honours alongside European heavyweights Belgium, Austria, and Slovakia.
2018 AWCON runners-up South Africa, who are also part of the competition, will compete in Group A alongside Korea Republic, Finland, and the Czech Republic, whilst the likes of Hungary, Italy, Mexico, and Thailand are in Group B.
The 2019 edition of the tournament holds from February 25 to 7 March 2019.
The tournament serves as dress rehearsal for the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in France later in the year.
