Nigerian midfielder, Ifeanyi Matthew could have played his last game for Norwegian club Lillestrom after he confirmed he would be ending his two-year stay for a move to mainstream Europe in the coming days, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 21-year-old has been on the radar of top clubs in Belgium and Holland over the past few weeks as a result of his impressive displays with Lillestrom but he has now confirmed that he will be leaving the club in the January transfer window.
“Obviously there will be movement for me in the next few weeks. The season has ended already and there are a few options for me. So when the transfer window officially opens next month everything will be sorted out,” Ifeanyi revealed.
The former CHAN Eagles’ star, who has less than 18 months on his current contract, helped Lillestrom survive the drop last season as they finished 12th on the 16-team log with 32 points and Ifeanyi Matthew scored 4 goals.
