Super Eagles’ defender, Leon Balogun has expressed his frustration following his side’s 2-0 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, positing that the Seagulls must now look beyond it and focus on their next game on Wednesday, reports.
Balogun started his fourth league game of the season and his seventh overall as two goals either side of the half from David Brooks condemned Brighton to their third straight defeat since the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace a fortnight ago.
Balogun featured for the entire 90 minutes and had to put in more extra work following the red card to defence pair Lewis Dunk, managing a good game rating of 6.6, made 3 clearances, won 5 duels and completed 81% of his passes.
“Tough game yesterday away from home with a frustrating outcome. We go again on Wednesday #BHAFC #Seagulls,” Balogun posted afterward.
Despite the loss, Brighton remains in 13th position with 21 points from 18 games played so far and will host Arsenal in their next fixture on Boxing Day.
