Super Eagles’ Samuel Kalu scored his second goal of the season for Bordeaux in their 1-1 draw at home to Amiens to stretch their unbeaten run to 10 games, reports.
Having just returned from injury in their cup win against Dijon on Wednesday, Kalu took his place in the starting XI for the first time this month, starting his 9th league game of the season and was a constant threat in the opening exchanges of the clash.
His hard work did, however, pay off when he put Bordeaux ahead after 22 minutes, heading home from a Sergei Palencia cross to put the home side ahead.
Kalu was however denied the match hero tag when Eddy Gnahore equalized for Amiens towards the end of the match to salvage a point for the away side.
The 21-year-old has however adjudged the man of the match with a game rating of 8.5. He completed 88% of his passes, won 13 duels and was fouled 5 times by the opposition.
