Super Eagles’ forward, Anthony Nwakaeme scored for the second successive match as Trabzonspor beat Caykur Rizespor 4-1, with another Nigerian Aminu Umar scoring a consolatory goal for the visitors, AOIFootball.com reports.
Abdulkadir Omur put the hosts ahead after 24 minutes before they lost midfielder Ogenyi Onazi through injury after the half-hour mark.
Abdulkadir Omur then doubled Trabzonspor’s lead before Nwakaeme set up Hugo Rodallega on the 79th minute to hand the visitors 3-0 lead.
Former dream team forward, Aminu Umar then reduced the deficit for Rizespor on the 84th minute before Nwakaeme wrapped off the match with his fourth goal of the season deep into injury time to hand Trabzonspor a comfortable 4-1 win.
The win moves Trabzonspor to second on the log with 29 points from 17 games, four points behind leaders Istanbul Basaksehir.
