Super Eagles’ midfielder, Michael Babatunde continued his fine form in front of goal in the Moroccan Botola League as he scored the winner for Wydad Athletic Club against Hassania Agadir, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 2014 World Cup star, who has not hidden his desire to return to the national team, started for the league leaders in a game that pitched the first position against the second team on the log.
Amin Tighazoui opened the scoring for Wydad just before the half-hour mark before Mehdi Oubila equalized for the visitors four minutes after the restart to bring scores to 1-1.
Babatunde then netted the winner eight minutes after the hour mark when he dusted himself up to fire home from 12 yards to send the fans into a frenzy.
The win solidifies Wydad’d lead at the top of the standings with 23 points from 11 games, three more than their opponents who remain in the second position.
