Nigeria Professional Football League side, Wikki Tourists FC have assured their fans that the team will play its home matches in the 2018/2019 NPFL season at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, AOIFootball.com report.
This was made known by the club’s consultant, Abubakar Abubakar, shortly before the team went on break for the Yuletide festivities. He stated that the renovation work is near completion, and the fans will have the pleasure of enjoying premier league football once again.
“I’m assuring our fans that their darling team will return to our home ground for the 2018/2019 league season,” he said.
“The renovation project is almost completed and we look forward to coming back home immediately that is done,” he concluded.
It would be recalled that the Bauchi-based side were relocated to the city of Jos, for their Nigeria Professional Football League home matches at the beginning of the 2017/2018 season.
The team will, however, resume on the 2nd of January to finalise arrangements for their next season’s campaign which is set to kick off on the 13th of the same month.
