Super Eagles’ Head Coach, Gernot Rohr has revealed that he won’t pressure Chelsea of England forward Victor Moses to return to the national team, insisting he must find the right motivation himself, reports.
The Franco-German was replying to recent remarks that the player could return ahead of the 2019 AFCON, with Rohr revealing that the player still has a lot to offer to the national team.
“Victor Moses is a very good player for Nigeria. I believe it was too early for such a good player to stop international football when he did but we have to respect his decisions.
“If he changes his mind we will welcome him but he has to find that motivation within himself to come back and be ready to give his 100% at all times as we know he can. Then of course, it is important that he gets back to playing regularly at his club and get his sharpness back,” Rohr said.
Though the Eagles have carried on since the retirement of Moses, with the duo of Samuel Kalu and Samuel Chukwueze perfectly filling in his position, his experience offers a whole lot of stability should he decide to end his international wilderness.
