Nigerian forward, Sadiq Fatai was in blistering form as he provided two assists to help Pacos de Ferreira maintain their quest for promotion in their 3-0 win away at CD Cova Piedade, reports.
The 22-year-old started up front, partnering Ghanaian striker Paul Anyongo with another Nigerian, Junior Pius leading from the back for the visitors.
After an eventful opening exchange which produced no goals, the away side took the lead with almost the last kick of the half when Ayongo put them ahead much to the delight of the visiting fans.
Sodiq then took over the second half as he provided two quick assists in the space if ten minutes. First, he set up Wagner to make it 2-0 on the 50th minute before also turning provider for Pedrinho ten minutes later to complete a comfortable 3-0 win for the league leaders.
Despite not scoring in any of his ten starts this term, the Nigerian still managed to chip in five assists to help his side remain on course for promotion as they now have 40 points from their opening 17 league games.
