Super Eagles’ forward, Samuel Kalu was on target for the second time in less than seven days to help Bordeaux to a 2-1 win away to Angers in a rescheduled match day 17 fixture in the French Ligue 1, reports.
The 20-year-old winger started his 11th league match of the season and showed why positioning remains one of his best strengths when he reacted quickest to a Maxime Poundje cross to put the visitors ahead just on the hour mark.
The second half did produce a bit of luck for Bordeaux when Arsenal loanee Jeff Reine Adelaide missed a penalty for Angers before Mateo Pavlovic equalized for the hosts four minutes after the hour mark to bring scores to 1-1.
Kalu was then substituted nine minutes later for Tomas Basic before Yann Karamoh ensured the visitors returned to Bordeaux with all three points when he netted the winner two minutes into added time.
The Nigerian has now scored three league goals in 15 appearances in the league and has also added one assist as Bordeaux moves up on the table to 11th with 25 points from 19 games.
