Super Eagles’ forward, Henry Onyekuru began the year in a bang as he scored his first hat-trick in the Turkish League as champion’s Galatasaray completed a double over Ankaragucu thrashing them 6-0 at the Turk Telekom Stadium, reports.
Having ended the year on a high, the Everton loanee reminded his parent club of his potential as he scored his first treble of the year and his ninth goal overall whilst Everton suffered yet another disappointing loss in the Premier League.
Siman Gumus put the hosts ahead inside the opening 60 seconds before Onyekuru doubled the lead 21 minutes into the match when he skipped past his marker to fire beyond the goalkeeper before doing a dance celebration.
Siman Humus then grabbed his second of the night five minutes layer and Galatasaray third with the champions leading 3-0 at half time.

Onyekuru then turned on the heat in the second half, netting two quickfire goals in four minutes, first finishing off a Fernando pass on 59 minutes before completing his hat-trick on the 63rd minute when he finished off a cross for Sofiane Feghouli to hand Galatasaray a 5-0 lead.

Badou Ndiaye then made it 6-0 four minutes from time as the champions reclaimed the second spot, but still remain three points behind leaders Istanbul Basaksehir.
The Nigerian was voted the man of the match with a game rating of 9.4, scoring from all his three shots on target, completing 92% of his passes and also making two key passes.
