* Shows interest in making loan deal permanent
Portuguese giants FC Porto have blocked any potential move for Nigerian star Kelechi Nwakali after the club rejected several offers for the former U-17 World Cup winning captain, can authoritatively confirm.
Nwakali, 20, is currently on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal but has struggled to regularly feature during the first half of the season, hence he is considering cutting his loan deal short.
In fact, further investigations by AOIFootball revealed that the player already had several offers from clubs in Spain, Belgium, and France but Porto insist that he stay till the end of the season and that he will get more playing time. Reports in the camp of FC Porto further indicates the former Uefa Champions League winners,  have intentions to sign the player permanently in the summer and may open discussions on the possibility with Arsenal before the end of the season.
That promise has however been fulfilled with Nwakali now an integral part of Porto B team since the beginning of the year, with the midfielder starting four matches than he did three in the whole of the first half of the season.
Playing predominantly on the left-hand side in a 4-4-2 formation, Nwakali has continued to thrive amidst encomiums as Porto have also gone seven games unbeaten which has risen to 6th on the Segunda Liga table.
