Super Eagles and Villarreal of Spain forward, Samuel Chukwueze is confident his side will survive the drop this season despite languishing 19th on the 20-team log, reports.

The 19-year-old told of Villareal’s visit to Valencia this weekend, that they remain confident of their chances of survival despite their current poor run of form.

“I’m very sure we have a very good chance of escaping the drop. I believe in the ability of my teammates and the entire squad, so I’m telling you that we will escape relegation,” Chukwueze said with confidence.

He further urged the fans and supporters of the Yellow Submarines not to deter as they will continue to work hard to ensure the club maintains its top division standing at the end of the season.

Villarreal head to Valencia with an abysmal form, after not winning any of their eight matches in all competitions, losing three and drawing five. They also crashed out of the Copa del Rey in the process.
