Former Super Eagles’ star, Mutiu Adepoju has advised Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfielder, John Ogu to ensure he continues working hard to achieve his dream of playing for Arsenal in the  future, reports.
The former Real Madrid star told after seeing Ogu’s tweet on Boateng joining Barcelona, that a player must not necessarily fit into a club’s system before they sign him.
Ogu said: “The day God go do my own dey come as e do Kelvin Boateng own to Barcelona. Baba God na your hand I dey. Na just @Arsenal (sic)”.
Adepoju in his reply said: “If Ogu dreams of playing in Arsenal, he just needs to work very hard and work towards it. If Arsenal see something in him that they like, then they would sign him.
“It depends on the coach and the club; it doesn’t necessarily need to suit the style that they want then it could be a possibility. He should just continue working hard and hope for the best,” Adepoju said.
On Boateng’s move to Barcelona, the former Racing Santander forward said they could have possibly seen something in him before deciding to sign him and it will be very difficult to turn down an approach from a club like Barcelona.
