Nigeria international, Azubuike Okechukwu has joined Turkish side Caykur Rizespor on loan from Egyptian Premier League side Pyramid FC till the end of the season, AOIFootball.com reports.
The former dream team captain becomes the third Nigerian at the club following the arrival of Chidozie Awaziem from Porto and Aminu Umar who has been with the team from the summer.
The 21-year-old captained Nigeria to victory at its maiden U-23 AFCON qualifiers but has struggled with injury over the last couple of years. He will have to remain fit to help Rizespor escape relegation.
He becomes the third Nigerian to move to the Turkish League in less than 48 hours following the imminent arrival of Victor Moses to Fenerbahce and Awaziem who already joined Rizespor.
Rizespor is currently bottom of the 18-team log and currently have 15 points from 18 games, three points away from safety.
