Spanish coach, Jose Angel Garcia believes Nigeria has a potential football superstar in Samuel Chukwueze after admitting the 19-year-old’s blistering start has caught the eye of plenty top clubs in the division, reports.
Jose Angel, who spoke to exclusively after the final day of the LaLiga Coaches Clinic in Abuja, said that the player must continue to keep his cool and work hard to fully reach his potential.
“Right now he’s in the right place, he just arrived. Just a few months ago he did not appear often in the LaLiga and the first team but Villarreal is a club with a good academy, they have talented coaches and can analyze and profile good talents.
“If he’s getting the chance to play now in the first team it’s because he deserves it but doesn’t forget he’s still learning but he has the potential already, but he must also take advantage of this situation and improve and work hard day by day,” Jose Angel said.
The Spaniard, who also doubles as a sports psychologist, further added that he remains very optimistic about the player’s future if he continued at this pace.
“In the future, we will see, but we are optimistic with him and I believe he has a great future,” Jose Angel concluded.
Since making his debut for the club in November, the 2015 U-17 world cup winner has had a hand in eight goals (5 goals, 3 assists) in all competitions for the Yellow Submarines, making him one of the club’s most prized asset.
