The 25-year-old striker opened scoring in the 13th minute before the visitors turned the tie in their favored with two quick goals to lead 2-1 at half time.
Andrew Cohen then equalized for Gzira just before the hour mark from the penalty spot before Garba turned the tie around in their favour.
The forward made it 3-2 on the 61st minute before completing his hat-trick fourteen minutes from time to send his team to the quarterfinals of the competition.
The former Al-Hilal Omdurman forward has now scored 10 goals in all competitions, seven in the league and three in the cup competition.
