Nigerian international, Kayode Olanrewaju continued his impressive form for Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk as he scored twice and assisted another in their 6-1 friendly win over Botev Plovdiv in Turkey, reports.
Having scored in his side’s 3-0 win over Lech Poznan on Friday, the former Manchester City player was given the nod to lead the attack and duly delivered with two well-taken goals.
Kayode set up Andriy Totovytskyi to put Shakhtar ahead after 33 minutes before also linking up with Marlos forty seconds later before the Brazilian setup Totovytskyi to score his second and Shakhtar second goal of the match.
Lazar Marin then halved the deficit two minutes after the break before Kayode got into the act to make it 3-1 on the 51st minute.
Bogdan Butko made it 4-1 four minutes later before two further strikes from Maycon on the 71st and Kayode on the 87th completed a resounding victory for the Ukrainian league leaders.
The goals will come as a morale booster for Kayode who struggled in the first half of the season and was reduced to just one league start all through.
Shakhtar will now round up their Turkish training camp with a match on Thursday against Wacker Innsbruck before returning to Ukraine for their first leg round of 32 Europa League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt next week Thursday.
