Super Eagles’ forward, Simy Nwankwo scored his fifth league goal of the campaign to help Crotone earn a 1-1 draw at home to Livorno in the Serie B, reports.
The 26-year-old surprisingly remained at Crotone beyond the winter transfer market and started just his 10th league game of the campaign as they momentarily moved off the foot of the table.
Nicolas Spolli put through is own goal five minutes into the clash to give the visitors the lead before Simy leveled matters halfway past the hour mark to make it 1-1 going into the break.
However, both teams failed to add to the tally in the second half as Crotone held on to move up to 16th on the log with 18 points from 22 games played so far.
Simy now has five goals to his name, making him the club’s leading goal scorer with added two assists.
