Nigeria’s Chico Ofoedu scored his first goal in the Israel Cup this season to help his side to a convincing 4-1 win away at Bnei Sakhnin to edge closer to the semifinals, reports.

The former Enugu Rangers player put the visitors ahead after 13 minutes before two further goals from the boots of Yohan Cohen in the 29th and 41st minute gave the them a commanding first half lead.

Michael then made it 4-0 to Maccabi before Sheibou reduced the deficit for the home side, with Maccabi running 4-1 winners ahead of the second leg which comes up in a fortnight.

Chico, 26, has now scored six goals in all competitions this term for the league leaders as they continue their pursuit for a league and cup double.
