Nigerian forward, Sylvester Igbonu is hoping for a better second half of the season when the Russian League resumes this weekend, reports.

Having had a successful mid-season training camp in Russia and Spain, the 28-year-old will be hoping to fire UFA off the relegation zone as they bid to improve on their 14 position league standing.

The forward recently earned his 100 caps for the Russian top flight club and would want to fire them to safety with the club currently occupying 15th position in the 16 team log table.

UFA must, however, improve on their proficiency in front if goal after scoring just 12 goals in the first stanza, with the Nigerian directly involved in 5 of those goals (3 goals, 2 assists).

A win against Dynamo Moscow will see UFA rise to 13th position and remain in the survival playoff zone.
