Super Eagles’ and Bordeaux of France winger, Samuel Kalu has made a passionate appeal to those who adopted his mother to please release her so that the family can have peace again, reports.
Mrs. Kalu was abducted by some unidentified gunmen along Okpulu Umuobo area of Aba in Abia State, Nigeria on Wednesday last week with the kidnappers demanding a ransom before they would release her to the family.
Speaking however to exclusively from his base in France, the winger urged the kidnappers to please release his mum whilst also calling on the NFF and the relevant authorities to act fast and help him secure the release of his beloved mother.
“I have been in constant touch with them and I’m hoping they let her go soon as the situation is becoming worrisome to me.
“I’m currently in France but if by Tuesday or Wednesday the situation does not change then I will have to return to Nigeria and try to find a solution myself,” a pained Kalu said.
The abduction of Kalu’s mother by unknown gunmen leaves another bitter pill in the story of Super Eagles players, with captain Mikel John Obi twice suffering the same fate following the kidnap of his father last year.
