Keep working hard says Laliga coach, Jose Angel Garcia
Super Eagles and Villarreal youngster, Samuel Chukwueze is elated after coming off the bench to score his third League goal to help his team to a vital 2-0 win over Levante, reports.
The 19-year-old told exclusively that he hopes he can continue with the form and help the Yellow Submarines escape the drop.
“I’m so happy to be back on the scoring sheet; my job is to score and I feel excited and fulfilled anytime I score and help the team to victory.
“Well I can’t say, for now, only the coach can decide if I’m good to return to the starting XI but on my part, I need to keep on working harder to ensure I convince the coaches,” Chukwueze said.
Despite just moving one point and one place above the relegation zone, the Nigerian ‘Arjen Robben’, as he has been nicknamed due to his similarities with the Dutch winger, stated categorically that he remains confident the team will begin to turn out good results and also escape relegation.
Since breaking into the first team at the beginning of the season, the 2015 FIFA U-17 world cup winner has scored six goals, three in the league, twice in the Europa League and one in the Spanish Cup.
He has also contributed five assists across all competitions.
