Super Eagles forward, Simy Nwankwo was the match hero for relegation-threatened Crotone as they beat Salernitana 2-0 to record just their sixth win of the campaign, reports.
The forward started his 13th league game of the campaign, putting the visitors ahead after 11 minutes when he lashed on to Andrea Nalini’s drop ball to fire home from around 35 yards to send the visiting bench into a celebration mood.
He then doubled their lead 10 minutes after the break when he rounded the goalkeeper to score his eighth league goal and Crotone’s second to hand them all three points.
The win sees Crotone move up to 17th position, level on points with 15th placed Foggia as they continue their fight to beat the drop zone.
