Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru has continued to attract interests from top European clubs as French side Monaco are willing to rival PSG for the services of the Nigerian, AOIFootball.com can authoritatively confirm.
The 21-year-old has been hugely impressive for Turkish giants Galatasaray this season, netting 11 goals in all competitions despite predominantly playing from the flanks. He is being scouted by a host of top European clubs who are willing to lure him away from the coffers of Everton.
That interest has now grown with two German clubs, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke already holding talks with some of the player’s representative in a bid to wrap up his signature before the end of the season to avoid a potential bidding war.
Dortmund is already preparing for life without American winger Christian Pulisic and they see the Nigerian as a direct replacement to the Chelsea bound player whilst Schalke are hopeful of using the proposed Brexit situation in England to force Everton to sell the winger.
On their part, Everton have remained in constant communication with the striker over the last few weeks with the hope of securing his work permit as they hope he features for Nigeria at June’s AFCON to stand a strong chance of playing in the UK.
When quizzed about the current situation regarding his future, the forward smiled and revealed he is happy with his current form and wants to keep scoring to meet his season’s target.
After a breakthrough 2016/2017 season which saw him net 22 goals for KAS Eupen, Onyekuru joined Everton for around 8 million pounds before he was loaned out to Anderlecht last season due to work permit issues.
