Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru was named in the Turkish Super Lig team of the week for the sixth time this season following his two-goal heroics for Galatasaray when they brushed aside Antalyaspor on Monday night, reports.
The 21-year-old continues to show his importance for the Turkish outfit as he netted his 11th league goal of the campaign to help the defending Champions maintain their push on league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir.
Onyekuru was one of five Galatasaray players on the best XI, with Fernando Muslera, Sofiane Feghouli, Yunus Belhanda, and Mbaye Diagne all included in the star-studded XI.
One Nigerian who was, however, unlucky to miss out on the team of the week was Trabzonspor’s, Anthony Nwakaeme who scored his seventh league goal over the weekend but was overlooked for teammate J.Sosa with Besiktas, Sivasspor, Gotztepe and Caykur Rizespor all producing one player each.
Onyekuru, who had the third best rating of 8.7, scored 2 goals from his two shorts on target, won 4 duels and 77% of his passes.
