Super Eagles versatile player, Semi Ajayi has again been named in the Championship Team of the Week for the second time this month following his goal scoring heroics for Rotherham, reports.
The defender-turned midfielder scored twice in the second half to record his sixth league goal of the campaign to help Rotherham United remain in contention to escape relegation.
Ajayi narrowly missed out on the overall best player of the week as his 9.4 rating was only bettered by Aston Villa’s John McGinn who also scored twice in Villa’s 3-1 win away at Nottingham Forest.
Ajayi won a game-high 18 duels of his 24 duels contested as he lined up in the midfield alongside John McGinn of Aston Villa whilst Leeds Pablo Hernandez and Sheffield Wednesday’s Rolando Aarons complete the quartet in a 4-4-2 formation.
The Nigerian will, however, have his hands full later this weekend when his side host table toppers Leeds United.
