Super Eagles forward, Simy Nwankwo continued his fine form for Serie B side, Crotone as they rallied to a 2-2 draw at home to promotion chasers Lecce to remain in contention to beat the drop zone, reports.
Following his two goals heroics last weekend, the Nigerian led the line for the fifteenth time and duly put the hosts in front after just six minutes after making the most of a Marco Firenze pass to gift Crotone a precious lead.
The lead, however, lasted for just three minutes before Andrea Trabanelli equalized for the visitors with Marco Mancosu completing the turnaround on the 25th minute.
With defeat staring in their faces Marco Firenze popped up with the equalizer 11 minutes from time as Crotone held on for a precious point in their quest for survival.
The draw leaves Crotone in 17 position with 27 points, level with 16th placed Foggia in their quest to escape relegation.
