Super Eagles gaffer, Gernot Rohr has backed Olympic Eagles cyoach, Imama Amapakabo to deliver victory for the nation when they file out on Wednesday (today) against Libya in an AFCON U-23 qualifier, reports.
Rohr, who spoke after his team’s training session on Monday, noted the importance of the Dream Team as they are direct replicas of the main national team.
“We are also keeping our eyes on the happenings in Tunis; the Olympic team will play Libya on Wednesday and I’m sure they have what it takes to get a positive result ahead of the second leg in Asaba.
“Imama is there with them and I’m very sure he will deliver because they have also some quality players like Chukwueze and Nwakali who have played with us in the past so I believe the squad is very good to deliver for the country,” Rohr said.
He concluded by revealing that they are a host of players he will monitor in the team as he remains focused on ensuring he selects the best legs for the country at June’s AFCON in Egypt.
The Dream Team VII will engage Libya on Wednesday at the Ben Guerdane Stadium in Ben Guerdane. Kickoff time is set for 4pm local time.
