Mr. Chuba Iwobi, the father of Super Eagles and Arsenal of England forward Alex Iwobi, believes Nigeria has what it takes to clinch her fourth continental crown, reports.

Iwobi, who spoke after the Eagles’ training session on Wednesday, noted that the quality of players in the squad, coupled with the technical ability of the coach, gives the team a good chance of winning June’s AFCON in Egypt.

“I believe we have what it takes to win the AFCON; this team have been together for quite a while and the coaches know the strength and weaknesses of each position already.

“For me personally, with the right blend of players and commitment we should be able to win the trophy. It’s too early to predict though but I believe there is a possibility because we have the players,” he concluded.

Already qualified Nigeria top Group E with 10 points and will host Seychelles on Friday in their final qualification match before also taking on Egypt in an international friendly at the same venue on Tuesday next week.

Nigeria last featured at the 2013 AFCON which it won, missing out on the 2015 and 2017 editions.
