Nigerian forward, Sylvester Igbonu was the hero for relegation-threatened FK UFA as he helped them to a valuable point in their 2-2 draw away at CSKA Moscow, reports.

The 28-year-old was given the responsibility to lead UFA’s attack for the 18th time this season as they bid to improve on their 15th position but they, however, fell behind after just 25 minutes when Nikola Vlasic put the hosts one goal up.

Russian forward, Fedor Chalov then doubled Moscow’s lead four minutes after the break to put UFA on the verge of yet another disappointing league loss.

But with three minutes of normal time left, the visitors capitalised on two wrong substitutions by the Moscow bench as Lovro Bizjaz converted from an Ondrej Vanek assist to make it 2-1.

Igbonu then stole the show with the game’s last kick when he headed home deep into injury time after the hosts failed to clear from a corner kick to send the away fans into ecstasy.

The goal was Igbonu’s fifth of the league campaign whilst the draw leaves UFA still 15th with 17 points from 21 games.
