Super Eagles forward, Simy Nwankwo has continued to grab the headlines in the Italian Serie B as he scored for the fourth consecutive match to help Crotone to an impressive 2-0 win over Perugia at the Stadio Ezio Scida in Crotone, reports.
Having netted six goals in his last four outings, the 26-year-old started his 16th league game of the campaign as the host were hoping to stretch their unbeaten run to six games.
After a cagey opening half hour, the Nigerian put the host in front five minutes after the half-hour mark when he converted his 12th league goal of the campaign after been set up by Ahmed Bengali to give Crotone a 1-0 half time lead.
The big forward then ensured Crotone continued their impressive form as he set up Andrea Barber nine minutes from time to hand his side all three points and also stretch their unbeaten run to six games.
The Nigerian has now scored 12 goals and assisted another three for the relegation survivals as they now stay in 14th position with 33 points, three points off the drop zone with six more games left.
