Former Super Eagles star, Victor Agali has urged the Super Eagles not to relent in their quest to become Africa’s number one team after moving up to third on the latest FIFA rankings, reports.
The former Schalke 04 star told exclusively shortly after the rankings were released, that he believes the improvement in the rankings is a welcomed development and would motivate the team ahead of the AFCON in June.
“The rankings are a good one for the team but we must not relent on our performance after the impressive outing in the last round of matches against Seychelles and Egypt.

“This is a positive morale booster going into the AFCON proper and hopefully we can build on it and ensure we plan properly for a successful outing,” Agali said.

Nigeria moved four places on the latest FIFA rankings to 42 which also took them above Morocco who now drop to fourth on the continent with just Tunisia and Senegal the only highly ranked team ahead of the Super Eagles.
