U23 Eagles forward, Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure continued his fine form in the playoff round, scoring for the second consecutive game to help Club Brugge to a comprehensive 5-0 thrashing of Standard Liege, reports.
Having netted the previous weekend in the historic win against Anderlecht, the 21-year-old started his 15 league match as the hosts went in search of their third consecutive win in the playoff rounds.
Zinho Vanheusden put through his own goal to give Brugge the lead after 22 minutes before Siebe Schrijvers doubled their lead two minutes later to put the hosts in commanding position.
Emmanuel Dennis then made it 3-0 six minutes to half time when his thumping header from the corner kick left Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa stranded in goal.
Brazilian forward Wesley then completed the routing when he made it 4-0, ten minutes from time to hand them all three points on the night.
The win leaves Club Brugge with a perfect start in the playoffs as they push the chase on Genk in the race for the league title.
