Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has been named Europe’s Best Tackler following another near perfect display for Leicester City in their 4-1 thrashing of Huddersfield Town last weekend, reports.
Having featured in all of Leicester City’s games this season, the Nigerian has continued to prove his importance to the team, helping them win more balls in the midfield area than any other Foxes player.
According to statistical giants, the Nigerian’s combined total of 123 tackles in the league so far puts him top as the best tackler in the whole of Europe’s top five leagues.
Having fallen behind in the ratings earlier this season, Ndidi has now gone above Everton’s Idris Gueye who is on 121 tackles whilst Crystal Palace’s defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka comes third on the rating with 115 tackles.
Other players in the top half of the rating include Bordeaux’s Ivorian defensive midfielder, Ibrahim Sangare whilst his Brazilian teammate Otavio completes the top five tacklers in Europe.
