Former Super Eagles left-back, Elderson Echiejile is excited after starting his HKJ Helsinki career on a bright note following his impressive debut in their 1-1 draw over HIFK, reports.
The former Monaco player told that he was happy his hard work on the training pitch was able to stand him out even as he wants to do more for the club and fans.
“I feel great. I spent a lot of time training and its good to see the results of the hard work. We still have a lot of work to do as a team and we would continue to ensure we do all we can to make our fans here happy,” Echiejile noted.
The 31-year-old started his first game for the club since joining as a free agent last month and helped set up Akseli Pelvas in the 49th minute to put his side ahead before they were pegged back to settle for a 1-1 draw.
