Super Eagles stand-in captain, Ahmed Musa has been named in the Saudi Arabia Premier League Team of the Week for match day 28 following his impressive outing for leaders Al-Nassr in their 5-0 thrashing of Al-Fateh, reports.
The former CSKA Moscow forward endured his most torrid run with the oil-rich club after ending his four-month league goal drought to score a brace and provide another assist to help his side remain in a strong position to clinch the league crown.
Musa’s performance was only bettered by teammate and league top goal scorer, Abderrazak Hamdallah who also netted a brace but provided three assists to rack up a game rating of 9.5 and emerge overall best player of the week.
Musa’s 9.2 ranking was, however, the second best of all 11 players named in the team of the week as his two goals and one assist ensured Al-Nassr moved to the top of the league with 64 points from 28 games, one ahead of Al-Hilal who surprisingly lost 2-0 at home to Al-Taawoun on Monday night.
